RCMP confirm body found near Fishing Lake missing man Kelvin Cardinal.

Cold Lake RCMP can now confirm Kelvin Cardinal has been located deceased. His family have been advised. The RCMP are no longer seeking any further public information in this investigation and foul play is not suspected.

Kelvin Cardinal went missing in the late afternoon of November 13th. He was a passenger in a vehicle that the police had stop for being stolen. The vehicle had fled from police and sometime during the pursuit, police believe Cardinal fled on foot. He was last seen running into the woods at Township Road 583 and Highway 897 heading in a northeasterly direction.

Police and rescue services searched for Cardinal for weeks, before ultimately calling off efforts.

On May 7th, a body was discovered near Fishing Lake Métis Settlement. The body was later identified to be that of Kelvin Cardinal.
