Winners racked in prizes at Big Buck Night

The annual Cherry Grove Big Buck Night was a huge success with a multitude of trophies going out to hunter’s prize kill of the season. Organizer Dan Iverson says it was a great year, with over 87 people entered and some records broken. Notably, Shawn Hanes brought in Moose antlers stretching an impressive 191 2/8, which was an all-time high score.
“The Cherry Grove Big Buck Night Committee would very much like to acknowledge the support we have gotten from our sponsors. Many of them have been with us for the entire 9 years the show has ran.” Iverson says there is a strong following for the event, “people who believe in what we are doing should take the time to support our sponsors as they have supported us and therefore the community as a whole.

We will continue the show and plan to work with our sponsors to make the show bigger and better as we move to a new venue for the 2018 show and 10th anniversary at the Cold Lake Ag building on Dec 15th 2018.”
