Sometime in the early morning hours of October 17th, unknown suspect(s) attended a property on Hwy 657 South of Muriel Lake.  They opened a livestock gate allowing several horses to escape onto the roadway including a prized rodeo horse worth approximately $50,000.  That horse was unfortunately struck by a passing vehicle and died.  The RCMP are investigating whether the culprit(s) who intentionally let the horses onto the roadway are the same culprits that killed the horse.  The investigation is ongoing.
