Storm Causes Damage to St. Paul Pool’s Electrical

Main pool closed until further notice.

The St. Paul Aquatics Centre is reporting that due to a lighting storm on Saturday evening the main pool is closed. The storm caused damage to the facilities electrical, mainly the large pool and the wadding pool.

The Aquatics Centre will remain open while crews work to repair the damage; however only the hot tub, steam room and weight room will be accessible. All swimming lessons have been cancelled until further notice.

The Aquatics Centre advises the public to follow them on Facebook for further updates. The centre will be open Friday, Sunday and Monday of the Canada Day weekend; closed on July 1st, Saturday.
