Youth cannot be named due under Youth Criminal Justice Act
On Saturday February 11, 2017 at approximately 8:20 p.m. Cold Lake RCMP were investigating a reported stabbing within the M.D. of Bonnyville. A suspect fled in a vehicle and was pursued by police into Cold Lake where the vehicle slid off the road and struck a power pole.
The 15 year old male youth, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public, Dangerous Driving and Flight from Police.
The victim of the stabbing was transported to a hospital in Edmonton for treatment of his injuries and is in stable condition.
