Dahlmer’s Solo Realm

Addison Bartholomew hits the stage solo on Saturday

The lead singer of local metal band, Dahlmer’s Realm, Addison Bartholomew, will be taking the stage solo on Saturday evening to help raise money for the St. Paul Animal Shelter. The Shelter had lost its facility in the spring and has been homeless and unable to care for animals since. Addison says he hopes his music will entertain and bring in money for the all the little puppies and kitties.

“For me this show is all about the animals,” Addison says he knows a lot of people personally invested in Saturday’s event at Area 51. “I have personal friends spending their own money and time to put this event together so whatever myself and the community can give back and help these animals we will do.”

Addison says his solo work, The Bartholomew Project, is not as heavy as Dahlmer’s Realm, “my music is a soothing mix of country/rock/pop depending on the song, of course.” Addison’s solo music is a side project that helps him explore different elements of his creativity. “My solo music  is still in the mixing process. I do have one song out, “Everything Can Change”; which will be available on iTunes & Google Music in the new year.”

“I find a great influence on my solo, acoustic, songs from master players like Andy Mckay. Soulful with the rhythms and great precision on the guitar body. Something I like to do; but have not mastered yet,” laughs Addison. “For me I’d like to take my music worldwide. It’s very down to earth and easy on the ears (for most people) many songs are about everyday life stuff which most people can relate too and like to hear someone else going through the same stuff.”

Although he’s been exploring his solo side, Addision says Dahlmer’s Realm is still together and rockin’ strong. “very much still a part of Dahlmer’s Realm. We have been very successful the past couple years between playing with some of our idols and touring Canada /us and some of Europe. As many know, this band is a heavy metal band far straying from the sound of my solo music.” You can find Dahlmer’s Realm music at Reverb Nation and you can follow the band on Facebook.  “As a band we will be finishing our 3rd studio album. We are currently working on some music video ideas for a few songs and hope to have those out or at least one out by August 2017.”

“My next steps in my solo career will be finishing my EP, and spreading it like wildfire,” one of the first steps is playing gigs like the benefit concert on Saturday and really exposing his solo music, The Bartholomew Project.
