Alcohol Not a Factor in Main Street Rollover
Post-parade accident leaves 61 year old injured
On Saturday, December 3rd, there was an accident on main street Bonnyville at approximately 7:00 pm. Sgt. Sarah Parke with the Bonnyville Detachment says alcohol was not believed to be a facor in the collision, which left one person injured.
“The vehicle was a Ford Escape and it was Eastbound on 50th Ave and collided with a parked truck causing it (the Ford Escape) to rollover,” explains Sgt Parke. “The driver, a 61 year old female from Goodfish Lake was transported to Hospital and a charge under the Traffic Safety Act is pending.”
“Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the collision,” confirms Sgt Parke. Luckily, the Santa Clause parade had finished and although there was increased pedestrian presence on main street, “no other persons were injured.”
