Bengals headed to League Finals

The St. Paul Bengals are off to the league finals after defeating Bonnyville just by a whisker, winning in the final few minutes by only two points this past Saturday afternoon on their home turf. The Bengals will now load the pride onto the bus this coming Saturday and head off to the Border city to meet the undefeated Lloydminster Mustangs.
The Mustangs are heavily favored to win the league final, but don’t count the Bengals out just yet. They come into this game hungry to munch on a little horse meat. I always like going into big competitions as the underdogs. One fumble or miss play and it can change the course of the game.
True athletes always rise to the top in these big games and the Bengals have a number of competitors from our home town who won’t go down without scratching and clawing, in the end they may go down, but not after they sink their teeth in for a good old battle. Good luck to this weekend to the local Elk Point boys… ‘Danny Boy’ Cardinal, Charlie ‘ the Angel ‘ Rogal, his brother ‘ Hank the Tank’ Rogal, ‘ Silent Sam ‘ Henderson, ‘Ty Cobb’ Smereka, Odin ‘ the Wall’ Smith and Chayse ‘ Big Papi’ Pankiw …and to the rest of the Bengals.
