18 year old Arrested after crashing into Police Car
Man was believed to be intoxicated
On September 16th, the Cold Lake RCMP had road blocks set up on Cold Lake First Nations dealing with a high priority file that had come in around 11:30 pm. While on location with the barricades in place, a vehicle crashed into a marked police car that was set up at the road block.
Neither the RCMP members nor the driver of the vehicle that struck the parked police car were injured.
The driver of the vehicle, an 18 year old male from Cold Lake, was arrested for impaired driving and blew over twice the legal limit at the time of his arrest.
The male will appear in court on October 26th in Cold Lake at 10:00 am. The name of the accused cannot be released by the police because at the time of this publication the charges had not been sworn in front of a justice of the peace.
