Fatal Single Vehicle Collision
On September 19, 2016 at 1:55 p.m. Cold Lake RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 55 between Range Road 424 and Range Road 425, west of Cold Lake, at Marie Creek. A vehicle travelling east bound on Highway 55 went off the road, rolled and submerged into the creek.
A 23 year old male from Cold Lake and lone occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene. Speed and distracted driving are being investigated as factors in the collision. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
