Bonnyville & Glendon Partner to Grow Businesses

Bonnyville and District Chamber Announces The Glendon & District Business Alliance

The Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the partnership and establishment of the Glendon & District Business Alliance. The Glendon & District Business Alliance will operate under the Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce to promote, encourage and engage the business community in the Village of Glendon and surrounding area.
Executive Director for the Bonnyville & District Chamber of Commerce, Andrea Yaramie says it’s low economic times where the business community and neighbours really need to stick together. “We all have experienced the challenging economic, political, and social conditions of the current recession; with businesses and farming operations enduring a significant impact on all fronts. At the Chamber we are a not-for-profit organization that supports, promotes, and advocates for local business, economic development and growth.”
“We view our Chamber’s purpose as ‘enablers of success’ and promote community collaboration and business development on many levels. It is with this in mind, that we begin this new initiative to support the businesses and farming operations in Glendon and the surrounding area.” A partnership between two communities is new to the Chamber world, says Yaramie. “This innovative initiative has not been seen before by the Alberta Chambers; however we are excited about this partnership and have witnessed strong support from the Glendon businesses community.”
The Glendon & District Business Alliance will be hosting their inaugural kick-off event on Thursday October 20, where they will reveal their upcoming initiatives. The Glendon & District Business Alliance is open to all businesses, farming and ranching operations, as well as not-for-profit organizations in Glendon and the surrounding area.
