Officer on Duty in Elk Point Charged with Fraud

On June 13th, 2016 RCMP Corporal Roy Auger of Slave Lake Detachment was charged with following:
* one count of Fraud under $5000.00

* one count of Theft under $5000.00

The charges are the result of misuse of a Government credit card while on duty from 2013-2015 in Elk Point.  Corporal Auger has been suspended from duty. He will remain off-duty until the criminal charges against him are resolved. His duty status will be reviewed at that time. His suspension is standard RCMP practice and not a disciplinary measure.

 

Corporal Auger next court appearance is in St Paul on August 4th, 2016.

 

 

An internal code of conduct investigation is also underway in relation to Corporal Auger’s conduct and will resume upon completion of the criminal court process.
