New Assistant Principal at Art Smith Aviation Academy
Northern Lights School Division No. 69 is pleased to announce that Andrea Farrell has been appointed Assistant Principal at Art Smith Aviation Academy.
“Andrea’s student-centred focus and commitment to working with the school community to enrich learning opportunities for students will enhance the unique educational experience available at Art Smith Aviation Academy,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson.
Farrell previously served as Assistant Principal at Art Smith on a temporary basis from March 2015 to January 2016. She began her career as a teacher with Northern Lights in 1998 and has served the Division in a variety of roles including SST Coordinator, Learning Coach, and Lead Teacher – Behaviour Support. Farrell is a graduate of NLSD’s Leadership Academy, has a postgraduate certificate in Inclusive Education and has begun work on her Master’s degree.
“I am so excited to be able to call ASAA home!” said Farrell. “I am looking forward to being a part of a school team, supporting children and their families, and working with the staff to create long-term relationships with all of them. I can’t wait for September!”
