On June 19th, at 7:40 pm RCMP received a complaint of a robbery at the Sobey’s Liquor Store on 50th Street in the South. RCMP attended and were given a suspect description, as well as details on the crime. An employee of the store all edged the suspected was armed with a sharp stick and took a bottle of liquor. RCMP found the suspect a short time later and arrested him.

20 year old Quaid Janvier, of Cold Lake, has been charged with robbery. The criminal definition of robbery is theft with violence. Janvier appeared in court on June 22nd and was released on $450.00 recognizance. The matter has been adjourned until 10:00 am on July 13th, in Cold Lake Provincial Court.
