New Assistant Principal for J.A. Williams High School
Northern Lights School Division No. 69 is pleased to announce that John Waine has been appointed Assistant Principal at J.A. Williams High School.
“John has been an integral member of the teaching team at JAWS for many years and has been engaged in the collaborative efforts at the school to increase student achievement,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson. “He is focused on bringing people together to enhance school culture and learning opportunities for students.” Waine has been an educator with Northern Lights for over 28 years, including 19 years at J.A. Williams High School, teaching Physical Education, Math, Career and Life Management and a Wildlife options course.
He has been serving as Acting Assistant Principal since March. “As a homegrown member of the Lac La Biche area with my years of experience in Northern Lights School Division, I have many connections with the community that will hopefully enable me to be an approachable, welcoming presence at the school,” said Waine. “I am looing forward to working with the students, parents and dedicated staff at JAWS in this new role.”
