29 Yr Old Bonnyville Man Arrested in relation to Domestic Assault at Park

On May 29th, 2016 at approximately 6:30 PM, the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment received a complaint from a member of the public reporting a possible domestic assault at a park in the town of Bonnyville after witnessing a male punch a female in the face.  Officers of the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment attended the location and observed the male, a 29 year old resident of the M.D. of Bonnyville, flee the area on the a bicycle.

The male was known to police and continued to flee even though Constables advised him several times that he was under arrest.  After several blocks, the male gave up and stopped then was arrested without incident.  The male was transported to the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment where he remanded into custody by a Justice of the Peace to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on June 7th, 2016.
