Bonnyville Skipperoos Take Top Honours at Nationals

The Bonnyville Skipperoos shined at Nationals on May Long Weekend. Assistant Coach, Skye Christians says the weekend was “amazing” for the club. The club skipped away with top honours in their under 10 year old category, Joey’s. There was also a lot of high placements from the groups. “While not all of our kids made it to collect a ribbon or medal, it was truly an amazing weekend.”

Groups 

  • Joeys – ( 10 under Mixed) 1st in all events and 1st all round
  • Kangas – 11-12 Female Team
    • 3rd in Single Rope Speed
    • 4th in Double under Relay 3rd in Double Dutch Speed
    • 2nd in Double Dutch Single Freestyle
    • 3rd in Pairs Chinese Wheel
    • OVERALL – 3 out of 12 teams
  • Ropin’ Roos- 18-29 Mixed
    • 3rd in 3X40 Double Dutch
    • 5th in Double Dutch Pairs

Freestyle Individual Placements:

  • Zenon Landry (out of 6 male skippers in 10 & under)
    • 3rd in all 4 events
    • 3rd overall
  •  Kate-Lynn Mahon (out of 32 female skippers in 10 & under)
    •  5th in 30 second Speed
    • 4th in 2 minute Endurance
  •  Rylie Landry (out of 34 females in 11-12)
    •  4th in Freestyle
    • 5th overall
  • Brady Christians (out of 8 males in 13-14)
    • 3rd in Power event
    • 5th in Freestyle
    • 5th overall
