On Thursday May 12, 2016 St. Paul RCMP officers received a report of an assault which occurred at a rural residence near the community of McRae. RCMP attended the location and observed a large cache of weapons and ammunition. A further search of the residence led to the seizure of over 40 rifles, shotguns, and handguns.
Buckley George Dyck, 35, of McRea, Alberta has been charged with numerous firearms offences, including possession of a prohibited device, careless storage of firearms as well as one charge of assault causing bodily harm. Dyck is currently in custody and is scheduled to make his first court appearance in St. Paul Provincial court on May 26, 2016.
