Cold Lake RCMP Respond to Yet Another Vehicle Fire
On April 7th, the Cold Lake RCMP Detachment responded to a vehicle fire near Ardmore. Witnesses called 911 around 2:35 pm to report a 1995 Green Cavalier was on fire. When police arrived the fire was near put out, thanks to a witness using a fire extinguisher on it.
According to S/Sgt Jeremie Landry with the Cold Lake Detachment, “the fire is not suspicious in nature. It fire happened on private property” Landry further reports that the vehicle was not stolen.
The Detachment has responded to three prior vehicle fires since January; including this incident, there was a case on January 29th, another on February 3rd, and on February 16th. At the time of third incident on February 16th, S/Sgt Jeremie Landry, of the Cold Lake RCMP Detachment, said the three fires were too similar not to rule out that they could be connected. The RCMP do NOT believe the three earlier fires have any connection to the fire on April 7th.
