Cold Lake Transit Will Go to Kinosoo Ridge Ski Resort
Kinosoo Ridge Ski Resort will be opening it’s runs sooner than expected. The hill has been busy making snow to make up for what mother nature has been lacking. Resort Manager Jurgen Grau reports the Blue Chair opens this weekend, December 12th & 13th. Along, with ski runs, the tub park will be open for its second weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.
With the great news of the hill opening the City is pleased to announced that Cold Lake City Transit will be extending its routes to include Kinosoo Ridge. The bus service will pick up and drop off at the transit station on Highway 28, near Tri City Mall on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the hill’s operating months.
Transit service to the hill will have a fare, for persons three years of age and older. A ticket to the hill will be $5.00, and there will be an option for a return voucher for those using the transit service to return to the City. The City is also looking into options for ski and snowboard storage system on the bus.
Mayor Craig Copeland has confirmed the service will launch December 19th, 2015.
