At 10:00 am on October 18th, Cold Lake RCMP received a call from a female who had had her foot ran over by a van. After a short investigation it was discovered the driver of the van was the woman’s cousin.

Police located the vehicle and the cousin soon after. A 29 year old female, from Cold Lake First Nations, was arrested for impaired driving after blowing over the legal limit. She will appear in court November 25th in Cold Lake, AB.

 

The Cold Lake RCMP responded to a noise complaint on the 16th of October at 10:00 pm. Complainants claimed the accused were drinking and causing a lot of noise. When police arrived two people fled the scene.

Police caught up with the suspects soon after and a 32 year old male from Frog Lake was charged in violation of conditions.

 

On October 20th, at 11:00 am Cold Lake RCMP performed a license check on a vehicle, which showed that the registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended license. RCMP stopped the vehicle and it turned out the registered owner was driving at the time with a suspended license for overdue fines.

The vehicle was towed and seized for 30 days.  A 32 year old female, from Cold Lake, was charged with driving while suspended.

 

On October 21st, the Cold Lake RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision, involving a driver and three passengers, on English Bay Road and 1st Avenue. At 11:35 pm, it is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle, which hit a pole and flipped.

Two of the three passengers were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The driver failed the roadside screen test and subsequently blew over the legal limit. A 21 year old male, from Cold Lake, has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm.
