Fort Mac Police Requesting Public’s Assistance in Locating Wanted Individuals

On December 26th, 2014, the Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a complaint of gun shots inside of an apartment complex in the Gregoire area of Fort McMurray. It was determined that a bullet had been fired from within one apartment which had then exited and entered into an adjacent apartment. During the investigation a Warrant to Search was executed at the apartment from which the bullet had exited. The Warrant to Search resulted in the seizure of two rifles, a loaded pistol, ammunition, cash, 25 grams of Marijuana, and 143 grams of cocaine.

 

The subsequent investigation has led to the laying of the following charges on these individuals and warrants of arrest issued:

 

Mohamed ABDESEMED (28 years old) and Afif Elias HASSEN (28 years old) of Fort McMurray

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Production of a controlled substance
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm x 3
  • Unauthorized possession of a loaded restricted firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm x 2
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose x 3
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm with a removed serial number
  • Possession of property obtained by crime

Investigators believe that ABDESEMED and HASSEN may be in the Calgary area.

 

The Wood Buffalo RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the two men, all of whom have had warrants issued for their arrest. The men are believed to have ties to the Calgary area.
