Missing Tubers Found by RCMP
Cold Lake RCMP responded to a call from a group of tubers, on July 12th, 2015, who were floating on the Beaver River. The group, aged 17, 20, 22, 44 and 41, became lost after floating on the river.
The group entered the river at a popular location, just off Highway 892 near Ardmore and floated for approximately five hours. When the floaters exited the river they did not know where they were and called the RCMP.
Using GPS Police were able to locate the group, west of the base near the gravel pit, at 11:20 p.m.
