It is with heavy hearts that the family of Maxine Dunkin of Bonnyville, Alberta announce her passing on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at the age 86 years. Surrounded by the love of family, Maxine passed peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy that will live on through all those who knew and love her. Maxine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Maxine is lovingly survived by her children: Ralph Kinley of Edmonton, AB, Cindy Wakefield of Bonnyville, AB, Barb (George) Harlton of Bonnyville, AB, Jackie (Robert) Gagné of Bonnyville, AB; step-daughter: Marsha (Lenny) Gauthier of Slave Lake, AB; grandchildren: Amanda, Kristy, Cody (Anne-Marie), Jesse (Megan), Levon, Jestin, Scarlett Rose; step-grandchildren: Jennette, Garret, Amos, Adam, Alexis; great-grandson: Rusty; step-great-grandchildren: Billy, Damien, Suzanne, Ezekiel, Alice, Rose, Jolie, Jayline, Jayden; brother: Frank Graybill of Cold Lake, AB; sister: Marina (Keith) Ross of Victoria, BC; Maxine will also be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
Maxine was predeceased by her husband of 29 years: Ed Dunkin; parents: Ralph & Mary Graybill; son-in-law: Ken Wakefield; step-son: Adrian Dunkin; step-father: Christian Troye; brothers: Cecil John, James (Francis) Graybill; step-sister: Grace Troye; sister-in-law: Zelda Graybill; infant grandchildren: Amber Ida Rose Wakefield & Jeffrey Kenneth Wakefield.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will hold a private celebration of her life at a later date.
