Danny to his family and Dan or Dano to his friends

Passed away peacefully at home in Bonnyville, Alberta.

Grieving his loss are his daughters Carly (Nathan) and Emily, sisters Cathy (Douglas) and Judy, close friend Shelley McIntosh, his “found family” in Cold Lake and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his mother Helen, father Donald, stepfather Ken, brother Jerry and sisters Kimberly and Cynthia.

Dan was born and grew up in Kirkland Lake, Ontario before moving west in the early 80s, he spent time in Vancouver, Calgary and throughout Alberta before settling in the Cold Lake area.

Dan embraced simplicity and loved spending time outdoors fishing and camping and his best days were those spent with his family and friends. Those who were lucky enough to have known and spent time with Dan will remember him as someone who could bring laughter into every room that he entered. Dan was someone who was always willing to go the extra mile for his friends, and those close to him will remember him always for his loyalty and kindness. While Dan may have loved in his own quiet way his memory will echo forever in the lives of those who knew him.

As per his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at 11AM on October 10th, 2026 at the Alexander Community Hall 62301 Range Rd 433, Cold Lake Alberta.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lakeland Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
