With saddened hearts, the family of Laurent Brousseau of St. Paul, Alberta announce the passing of their husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle on Friday, September 18, 2026 at the age of 92 years. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Laurent is forever remembered by his loving wife of 66 years, Marie-Claire Tremblay; children: Laurianne (Louis) Langevin, Sylvie (SBC), & Jules (Roxane); 9 grandchildren: Gisèle (David) Fontaine & Réal Langevin, Brian, Jason (Brandy), Justin (Miranda) & Laetitia (Brett) Knoll, Ashley Blackburn, Jesse (Lisa) & Brandon (Alyssa); 24 great-grandchildren: Devon Howse, Damian Langevin-Whitford, Rylan & Lilly-Rose Fontaine, Briella & Easton Langevin, Nicholas Tucker, Sébastien & Mirabelle, Kenzie & Kaia, Oksanna, Weston & Cade, Madison & Carson Knoll, Connor, Brady & Lylah Blackburn, Jace & Ivan, Grayson Lamontagne, Elexis & Jade ; daughter-in-law, Nicole Brousseau; siblings: Richard (Albina) Brousseau, Angélina Pelchat, Hélène Lamontagne, Simonne (George) Leroux; brothers- & sisters in-law: Isabelle Brousseau, Solange (Edouard) Noël, Gérard (Gertrude) Tremblay, Hector (Jacqueline) Tremblay, Eugène (Antoinette) Tremblay, Adèle (Alfred) Gratton, Annette Tremblay, Thérèse Tremblay; numerous nieces & nephews.

Laurent was predeceased by his parents, Léon & Yvonne Brousseau; parents-in-law: Napoléon & Gertrude Tremblay; his son: Yvon; brothers: Dolor & Paul Brousseau; sisters: Florence Côté, Cécile Michaud; sister-in-law, Lilliane Brousseau; brothers-in-law: Rémi St. Arnault, Gustave Côté, Jean Michaud, Thomas Lamontagne, Raymond Tremblay, Antoine Tremblay, Jocelyn Dallaire, Marc Hétu, Laval Pelchat.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday October 8, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral. Father Gabriel Côté, sj, will be officiating the service. Urnbearers: Brian Brousseau, Réal Langevin, Jason Brousseau, Justin Brousseau, Jesse Brousseau & Brandon Brousseau. Final resting place, St. Joseph Cemetery, St. Paul, Alberta. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed below.
