On September 6, 2026, Mr. Norbert Christensen of Mallaig, Alberta, passed away at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Yvette; children, Remi (Paulette), Diane (Kevin McGoey), Rodney (Murielle St. Arnault), Roxanne (Jerome) St. Arnault & Dale (Doris); 15 grandchildren & 31 great-grandchildren; siblings, Irene Pawlowski, Jim (Irene), Henry (Janet), Carl (Eileen), Allan (Denise) & Ken (Rollande); numerous nieces, nephews & other relatives. Norbert was predeceased by his son, Darren; parents, Bill & Mary; brother, Gerry (Yvette); brother-in-law, Sid Pawlowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 12 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jean de Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, Mallaig. Bishop Gary Franken & Reverend Father Raldy Jhack Diaz will be con celebrants with interment in the church cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to The Back Porch or Haying in the 30’s (Cancer Support Society) c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
