With profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce that Jakob Bretzer of Elk Point, Alberta reached the end of his 94-year journey on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
Left to treasure many happy memories are his loving wife of 64 years, Leona; children: Leonard (Roxie) Bretzer, Stanley (Wendy) Bretzer, Sandra (Vince) Charchun, Travis (Michelle) Bretzer; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Brigette Bursee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & other relatives.
Jakob was predeceased by his parents, Jakob & Rosalie; sister, Elfrieda.
Service of Remembrance, Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Elk Point Christian Community Church, Elk Point, with Pastor Kelly Sibley officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jakob to Alzheimer Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Avenue West, Suite 1600, Toronto, ON M4R 1K8.
