On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, Lizzy Blyan passed away in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 49 years.
Lizzy is lovingly survived by her children, Adora Collins, Sophia Collins, Bryce Blyan, and Caitlyn Turner; her cherished grandchildren, Addly Collins, Wyatt Flaro, and Milly Flaro; her sisters, Angelica Collins and Mandy Collins; her parents, Laurie and Donald Collins; her father, Russell Patenaude; and her grandparents, Edna and Emile Blyan, and Madeline Blyan. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Lizzy was predeceased by her daughter, baby girl Turner; brothers, David Collins and Tony Blyan; nephews, Trenton and Ashton; niece, Sasha; her grandfather, Louie Blyan; and her uncles, Harlan, Lewis, and Richard Blyan.
Lizzy enjoyed music in all its forms, finding happiness in every genre and in the excitement of live concerts. The outdoors was her place of peace. She felt most at home in the quiet of nature — breathing in fresh air, spending time in open spaces, and settling into the calm of the wilderness. Camping brought her comfort, joy, and a deep sense of freedom, offering moments of stillness she cherished throughout her life.
2-day Wake, Thursday & Friday, July 16 (leaving Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville at 3:00 p.m.) & 17, 2026, Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall.
Funeral Service, July 18, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall with interment to follow at Elizabeth Metis Settlement Community Cemetery.
