The family of Jeff Bowers of Ardmore, Alberta announces his unexpected passing on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the age of 65 years.
Jeff is lovingly survived by his wife, Tracy Bowers; his children, Ote (Maddy) Bowers, Dallas (Marissa) Bowers, and Lakota Bowers; and his granddaughter, Sofia. He is also survived by his father, Dave Bowers; his sisters, Joey (Danny) Lapointe and Carrie (Chris) Brooks; as well as nieces and nephews: Bobbie (Anthony), BJ (RaeAnna), Brett (Warren), and Chad (Jennifer), Krystal (Mitch); and great nieces and great nephews Alexis (Blaze), Clara, Eva, Auri, Devon, Delaney, Nyah, Mory, Vayda, Dotty.
Jeff will also be remembered by his mother and father in law, Bob and Sandy Hood, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother, Ann Bowers (2006); his brothers, David Bowers (1959 infant), Kevin Bowers (2015); and his brother in law, George Normand (1994).
Jeff was a skilled heavy equipment operator, he took pride in his work, and the long days spent building, shaping, and moving the earth. He was a true cowboy, embracing the rodeo life through roping, steer wrestling, and bull riding, carrying the toughness and camaraderie of that world with him throughout his life.
He enjoyed the outdoors — the patience of fishing, the tradition and challenge of hunting, and just being outside in nature. Jeff was also talented in woodworking, creating pieces with his hands that reflected both craftsmanship and care.
He enjoyed family gatherings, hosting, visiting and cooking. Entertaining came naturally to him.
Jeff will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his cowboy heart, his love of the outdoors. His legacy lives on in the people who loved him and in the memories they will forever carry.
A private family service will take place.
