William “Bill” Marceniuk
It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to Mr. William “Bill” Marceniuk, formerly of Elk Point & Garner Lake, AB., who passed away June 27, 2026, at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen; sons, Roy (Irene) & Gary (Elaine); 4 grandchildren, Kayla, Kurtis (Nicole), Ryan & Brittany; siblings Ann, Walter & Elizabeth (Harold) Jones.
William was predeceased by his parents, Eva Bashuk & Harry Marceniuk; step-father, Steve Bashuk; sister, Olga Haydak; sister-in-law, Pearl Marceniuk; brothers-in-law, Mike Haydak & Alex Emsky & infant son, Billy.
William was a beloved uncle to many nieces & nephews and a beloved friend to many. He enjoyed farming and later on helping friends farm, along with golfing, bingo, and watching almost all sports.
William will be missed by his family & friends that he leaves behind. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Vilna Cultural Centre, Vilna. Reverend Father Don Bodnar will be officiating with interment in Sokal Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Spedden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haying in the 30’s (Cancer Support Society) ℅ 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB. T0A 3A1.
