On June 26, 2026, Bruce Louis McGilvery “meskana kapimohtet” of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 66 years.

He is survived by his loving siblings, Robert (Gloria), Lyman, Ovide, Peter, Samuel, Leo (Priscilla) & Benedict (Velma); brothers-in-law, Dan, Mike & Ted; nieces & nephews, Misty, Boss, Berdine, Ovide Jr., Ardell, Roxanne, Danny, Charise, Leo Jr., Denise, Donovan, Dalton, Penny, Stacy, Emma, Brett, Jarrod, Caley, Niki & Marlee; numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Louis & Emma; siblings, Rose (John Flatfoot Desjarlais), Bella, Sally, Denise, Hector, Rodney & Baby Henry; nephews, Bradley, Dusty, Winddancer & Nathan; nieces, Desiree & Anita; grandsons, Landon, Brett Jr. & Blaize; granddaughters, Terra Jean & kihtawasiw wapikwaniy; & his loving animals, Buttercup & Wapâstim.

A Wake will be held on Tuesday, June 30 (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) at Resource Centre (Old Onchaminahos School Gym), Saddle Lake. A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Resource Centre (Old Onchaminahos School Gym), Saddle Lake led by Elders. Cremation to follow.
