Candice Somerset – Kadikoff
It is with profound sadness that the family of Candice Somerset – Kadikoff of Cherry Grove, Alberta announces her passing on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the Cold Lake Health Centre, at the age of 53 years.
Candice will be forever remembered and deeply loved by her husband of 25 years, Tony Kadikoff; her children, Journey (Tim) Zarraonandia, Samuel Somerset – Kadikoff, and Valley Jane Kadikoff; step children: Tyson (Suz) Kadikoff, Aaron (Marie) Kadikoff, Zacharie (Melissa) Kadikoff; her six cherished grandchildren, Addilyn, Camryn, Cora, Clovis, Eden, and Rose, each of whom held a very special place in her heart. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and found her greatest joy in time shared with her family.
She is also lovingly survived by her father, Edward (Linda) Taylor; her siblings, Ron Taylor (Kristen Busch), Carrie (Michael) Andrusco, and Cherie (David) Serrano; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many dear friends.
Candice was predeceased by her mother, Colleen Taylor; her maternal grandparents, David and Evora Crowe; and her paternal grandparents, Charles and Dorothy Taylor.
Candice lived a life filled with creativity, faith, and simple joys. She loved working in her garden, painting, baking, and curling up with a good book. Her heart was deeply rooted in family, and one of her most cherished places to visit was Taylor’s Cove in Ontario, where she found peace, connection, and a sense of home. Her faith was an important part of her life, guiding her with quiet strength and grace.
To honour Candice’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Emo, Ontario, where family and friends will gather to remember her with love. Her warmth, her devotion to those she loved, and the gentle way she moved through the world will be forever treasured.
