It is with heavy hearts that the family of Pierrette Madeline Trepanier of Bonnyville, Alberta announce the peaceful passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the age of 82 years.

Pierrette is now lovingly reunited with her daughter Linda Trepanier, parents Ovila and Cecile Demers, and brother Jacques (Nicole) Demers.

Pierrette will be forever loved and remembered by her husband of 57 years, Jean Pierre Trepanier; her beloved daughter Chantal (Rod) Reid and grandson Demetri; son in law Patrick Hebert and grandchildren Tanya and Darcy. She leaves behind extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Pierrette found her greatest joy in life’s simple, comforting moments. She loved settling in with a good puzzle, letting music fill the room, and watching the shows that made her smile. Her quick wit and playful humour had a way of lifting spirits, often turning an ordinary moment into one touched with laughter. She brightened the lives of those around her without ever needing to try.

Her long, heartfelt phone calls—full of stories, warmth, and genuine care—will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Pierrette’s kindness, her gentle spirit, and the steady love she offered so freely will be lovingly remembered by everyone who knew her.

Pierrette’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Bonnyville Home Care staff, the Bonnyville Health Centre Acute Care nurses, health care aides and support teams, and the Bonnyville Extendicare staff for their care. Your gentle hands, compassionate hearts, and unwavering support brought comfort and dignity when it was needed most.

At a later date, Pierrette’s family will come together for a private interment at the Duclos Memorial Cemetery in Ardmore, Alberta.
