Commercial vehicle inspections across the County of Vermilion River showed strong compliance during a recent joint enforcement operation involving local Peace Officers, RCMP and Alberta Dangerous Goods inspectors.
With seasonal road bans now in effect and National Police Week underway, officers teamed up with the Kitscoty RCMP Detachment and Alberta Dangerous Goods and Rail Safety Investigations & Enforcement Branch to conduct roadside stops and inspections throughout the region.
Officials reported 100 per cent compliance with road ban regulations among the commercial vehicles inspected. RCMP also confirmed all drivers passed roadside alcohol screening tests.
Authorities are reminding drivers to stay safe and adjust to changing road conditions heading into the May long weekend.
