Cold Lake First Nations is advising residents that the Reita Creek Bridge on Mission Road is currently closed due to a sink hole in the area.

The Nation says the main turnoff from Highway 28 into the community is not accessible at this time and the entire section of roadway has been shut down to traffic while crews assess the situation.

Drivers are being reminded not to drive around barricades or attempt to access the closed area.

Anyone needing to travel to Townsite or the Administration Building is being asked to use an alternate route until further notice.

Cold Lake First Nations says a detour map and additional updates will be shared soon as work continues to ensure the safety of the community.
