Three Saskatchewan residents are facing multiple charges after Cold Lake RCMP recovered suspected drugs and a loaded handgun during a stolen vehicle investigation in Cold Lake South.
According to RCMP, officers began investigating a stolen vehicle at a commercial establishment around 10:30 p.m. on May 4, 2026. During the investigation, police identified several individuals believed to have been in possession of the vehicle and made arrests.
RCMP say a search of the suspects and vehicle led to the seizure of approximately 100 grams of suspected cocaine, around 200 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a loaded handgun and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Charges Laid
Lori Crookedneck, 35, of Big Island, Saskatchewan
Crookedneck has been charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Conroy Keesaynew, 47, of Big Island, Saskatchewan
Keesaynew has been charged with:
- Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession of a controlled substance
Tyrone Sandfly, 39, of Big Island, Saskatchewan
Sandfly has been charged with:
- Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession of a controlled substance
Court Dates
Crookedneck and Keesaynew appeared before a Justice of the Peace and were remanded into custody. Both are scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on May 7, 2026.
Sandfly was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the same court on June 17, 2026.
