Cold Lake RCMP are asking for the public’s help as they search for a man wanted on multiple charges and believed to be actively evading police.

Police Say Suspect May Be Armed

In the early morning hours of Feb. 23, 2026, Cold Lake RCMP received a report involving crimes against a person. Since then, investigators have been unable to locate 34-year-old Joey Jack Joseph Botelho.

Police have now obtained a warrant for his arrest and warn that he may be armed and dangerous.

If you see him, do not approach. Call 911 immediately.

Charges Laid

Botelho is facing several charges, including:

▪️ Criminal harassment
▪️ Harassing communications
▪️ Assault

Description of the Suspect

Joey Botelho is described as:

▪️ 5’8” tall
▪️ Approximately 265 pounds
▪️ Brown hair, blue eyes
▪️ Full brown beard
▪️ Wears eyeglasses

He also has several identifiable tattoos, including:

▪️ A 1967 Shelby Mustang on his left arm
▪️ A banner reading “Joel 03.12.10” on his left forearm
▪️ An armband with seven skulls and bones on his upper right arm

Vehicle and Known Locations

Police say Botelho may be driving a 2007 red Dodge Ram 1500 with Alberta licence plate CXH1054.

He is known to travel throughout:

▪️ Cold Lake
▪️ Edmonton
▪️ Fort Saskatchewan
▪️ Fort McMurray

As well as several communities in Saskatchewan, including Kindersley, Kerrobert, Rouleau, Kipling, Melville and Esterhazy.
