During the attack, the dogs escaped the home, prompting RCMP to warn residents about the potential danger of the animals roaming the community.
Dogs returned without further incident
According to RCMP, the situation was resolved the following morning when the dogs returned home with the assistance of the homeowners. Police say there were no further incidents and the dogs are no longer considered a threat to public safety.
Town bylaws to handle next steps
RCMP say any further enquiries or investigation related to the incident will now fall under the Town of Vermilion and its municipal bylaws.
