Liam Reed named AJHL Rookie of the Month for December

The Adapt AJHL Rookie of the Month is Bonnyville Pontiacs defenceman Liam Reed (Portland Winterhawks). The 16-year-old blueliner had six points through five games and ended the month on a three-game point streak.

Reed (Edmonton, AB) scored his first two goals of the season and added four assists in December. He was selected as the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game three times throughout the month. Liam Reed is tied for seventh among AJHL rookie defencemen with 10 points (2G, 8A).

The Bonnyville Pontiacs closed out 2025 on a three-game win streak and resume play this weekend with home games against two divisional rivals in the Grande Prairie Storm and Whitecourt Wolverines.
