In Loving Memory: Brian Agopsowicz – Northern Lights Funeral Home
Brian Agopsowicz
March 7, 1954 – December 20, 2025
On Saturday, December 20, 2025, Brian Agopsowicz passed away peacefully at the age of 71 years old, surrounded with love from his wife and daughter.
Brian loved being around the people who mattered most to him. Spending time with family and friends was always his favorite way to spend a day. He had a passion for fly fishing, painting, and collecting stamps, and he was always happiest when he could share those interests with others. Camping trips with friends were something he looked forward to. He was proud to serve as the president of the Kalamalka Fly Fishers Club in Vernon, BC, where he put his love of the sport to good use. No matter how many places he explored, Hidden Lake was the camping and fishing spot he loved most.
Brian is lovingly survived by his wife and soul mate of 54 years: Rose Agopsowicz; daughter: Tara (Darren) Whitlock; son: Michael (Kelly) Agopsowicz; 5 beloved grandchildren: Renae, Ryan, Trace, Hayden, Avery; 7 sisters: 1 aunt; 1 uncle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Brian was predeceased by his grandson: Jason; mother: Marilyn (Russel); father: Andrew (Marcelline); maternal & paternal grandparents.
Celebration of Brian’s life will be held March 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., at the Eagles Hall, Calgary, Alberta.
