Now that our teams have been placed in their respective tiers for the regular season the scores this past weekend were much closer and the games much more competitive.

U11 Avalanche

Our U11 Avalanche played to an eight all draw on Saturday against Dewberry. Cohen “Big Horn” Brousseau scoring all eight goals for the Avalanche. No doubt about it, he is on pace to break his big brother Hudson “The Bull” record that he set a few years ago.

On Sunday the U11 team travelled to St Paul winning that one 15 to 8. The scoring is much more spread out in this one. Big Horn scoring four. His younger brother Gavin “The Badger” scoring a hat trick and assisting on two others. Maximus “To the Max” Laliberte also scored four goals. Landon “Lights Out” St Arnault, Mason “Mini-wheels” Weir and Brady “The Bulldozer” Heathcote all with an assist in this game. Behind the mask, goalie Tydis “Whiskeyjack” Cardinal was steady between the pipes.

Steady defenseman Hudson “The Hammer” Krankowsky with three assists. Rugged D-man Grayson “Slim” Skakun rocking a few guys on the blue line also with an assist. Goalie Theo “Long Horn” Quinney standing tall stopping a penalty shot in the first period that seemed to change the course of the game.

Our U18 Avalanche team dropping down one tier now playing in tier three had a good weekend playing 500 hockey with a win and a loss.
