On October 14, 2025, Mrs. Stephania “Steffy” Hawiuk (nee Farus) of St. Paul, Alberta, passed away at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her sister, Olga Johnson; daughter, Susan (Russel) Zapesocki; son, Richard (Jeannine); 5 grandchildren, Douglas (Tammy) Zapesocki, Bryan (Katie) Zapesocki, Pamela (Shayne) Carter, Zachary (Samantha) & Matthew; 4 great-grandchildren, Sloane Zapesocki, Lennon Zapesocki, Keaton Carter & Kenna Carter; numerous nieces & nephews. Steffy was predeceased by her husband, George; parents, John & Anne Farus; 5 sisters, Mary Petash, Helen Toffan, Lena Zacharuk, Nellie Horbul & Jenny Farris; 6 brothers, Joe, Alex, Paul, Walter, Max & Sid. A Funeral Service was held on Friday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul with viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Father John Lipinski officiated with interment in Union Cemetery, St. Paul. Special thank-you to all the staff at St. Paul Extendicare for their devotion, care & love during Steffy’s stay.
