Threats Towards Cold Lake Schools Determined to be a Hoax
Cold Lake RCMP responded quickly Tuesday morning after threats were made against St. Dominic’s and Holy Cross schools.
At around 9:16 a.m. on September 24, 2025, RCMP received information that led to both schools being placed on lockdown. Officers moved in immediately, but after further investigation the threats were determined to be a hoax. Police say there is no information to suggest any ongoing risk to the schools or members of the public.
The investigation into the origin of the calls continues.
