A trial is now scheduled for April 2026 for a Bonnyville couple, who are facing charges of indecent exposure to a minor under 16 years old, and multiple weapons related charges.

Drew Fleury, 34, and Vanessa Fleury, 36, were each originally charged in April 2025 of indecent exposure to a minor, and four charges each of careless use of a firearm.

On Tuesday in Bonnyville Provincial Court, an agent on their behalf confirmed a non-guilty plea, and a trial was scheduled to begin April 27, 2026.

Multiple names are under publication ban, which is used to protect the identities of alleged underage youths who may be involved.

Section 173(2) says that indecent exposure specifically pertains to when a person exposes their genitals to someone under the age of 16 for a sexual purpose.

Release conditions

There are several terms currently listed in their release, according to a court check.

They are not allowed to be in contact, in person or digital, with their children, except when in court or through legal counsel. The lone exception being in consultation with Child and Family Services.

That extends to direct or indirect communication with any youths under 16. Social media use is strictly prohibited, as well, including attending any playground, school, swimming pool, daycare, library, or youth shelter.

They must not possess any weapons and their weapons had to be surrendered to the Bonnyville RCMP.

They also cannot be in a job or volunteer position where they are in a position of trust with a youth under 16.
