Vermilion RCMP laid 85 charges in May

During the month of May 2025, Vermilion RCMP responded to 317 calls for service.

The majority of these calls, a total of 199 were traffic and vehicle related complaints.

  • 72 were related to property crimes,
  • 33 were related to persons crimes,
  • 17 were traffic collisions,
  • 7 were suspicious persons or vehicles.

Inclusive of those property crimes, 26 were mischiefs (damage to property or obstructing lawful enjoyment), and nine were break and enters.

Sixteen were thefts, 8 were frauds and five were thefts of vehicles. In addition, 15 calls were related to spousal abuse, and five was related to mental health concerns.

The property crimes led to 26 total charges laid.

During this period, Vermilion RCMP laid 85 charges: 46 were criminal code, and 39 provincial offences.

Eleven of the criminal charges were related to failing to comply with conditions/court, and nine were related to persons crimes.
