St. Paul RCMP arrest and charge two males after report of a suspicious vehicle

Two men from the Lakeland area are scheduled to appear in court after being forcibly stopped by police in St. Paul.

On Wednesday, June 4, around 9:00PM, reports came into the St. Paul RCMP about a suspicious truck at a business on the east end of town. 

The truck fled police say, so authorities got out the spike belt. The Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit and RCMP Police Dog Services also assisted, and located the suspects east of town.

Justin Robert Gervan, 32, of Andrew, is charged with:

  • possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • dangerous operation of motor vehicle
  • no pursuit involved – flight from peace officer
  • fail to comply probation order (x2)
  • resists/obstruct peace officer
  • mischief equal to or under $5000 – damage to motor vehicle

Kobi Austan Lane Rosichuk, 28, a resident of Bonnyville, is charged with:

  • no pursuit involved – flight from peace officer
  • possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • dangerous operation of motor vehicle
  • resists/obstruct peace officer
  • fail to comply with release order condition (x3)
  • mischief equal to or under $5000 – damage to motor vehicle

Justin Gervan and Kobi Rosichuk were both remanded into custody following a judicial hearing.

They are both set to appear at the St. Paul Court of Justice on June 12, 2025.
