Upgrades to emerge at St. Therese- St. Paul Healthcare Centre complete

The upgrades at the St. Paul hospital’s emergency department were recently completed.

Work began in 2023 at the St. Therese – St. Paul Healthcare Centre to maximize space and strengthen operations for years to come.

The project included three new exam rooms (for a total of 10), upgrades to existing treatment and triage spaces to enhance patient privacy and safety.

It also now features a new bariatric-accessible patient washroom, enhancements to staff support areas, and improvements to the hospital’s electrical, mechanical, medical gas and nurse call systems.

Other upgrades saw a new diagnostic imaging space and x-ray machine, plus a new electrocardiogram space.

All told, this was a $3.2 million project funded the Government of Alberta’s Rural Health Facilities Revitalization Program. Construction and upgrades were finished in March.

More to follow.
