A first of its kind event kicks off tomorrow evening at the Cold Lake Energy Centre.

It’s the first time a schwack of dirt has been dropped inside Imperial Oil Place, for the inaugural Lakeland Xtreme Bulls & Broncs showcase on Friday and Saturday.

A group of champion riders are coming for the competition, which is sure to provide great entertainment for the fans in attendance. But that’s just one element of the action.

There is a vendor market outside the arena, and on Saturday night, the City has brought in country music artist Tenille Townes for an evening concert.

Lakeland Xtreme has also teamed up with the 2nd Chance Trail Ride Society to the beneficiaries for the shark cage. It will be set up on ground level allowing a completely unique viewing experience for fans who want to get up close and personal.

Rodeo announcer Ray Champ, whose voice has been heard at the Calgary Stampede, will guide you through the action.

Organizers Shawn Metchewais, Chad Colbourne, and Katrina Reid, along with numerous sponsors, have worked to provide a high quality show for each night.

You can get tickets for either night, or a weekend pass, at https://lakelandevents.ca/ or get tickets at the door.

Doors open Friday night at 5:00PM and the action begins at 7:00PM.

On Saturday, it’s 3:00PM doors and 5:00PM start, with the Tenille Townes concert to follow. The concert is a separate event and requires a ticket from the City of Cold Lake since it is their event.
