Kitscoty RCMP arrest three suspects after industrial break and enter
Three people, one of them a youth, are facing a series of charges following a vehicle theft from a yard near Kitscoty.
The situation unfolded on Thursday April 10, at 5:27AM. Kitscoty RCMP responded to an industrial break and enter on Range Road 14 near Kitscoty.
Surveillance showed three suspects stealing a Ford F150 in the yard.
The suspects caused over $5000 in damages to equipment during the theft, police said in a release on Saturday morning.
At 1:30PM members from ALERT located the three suspects in a Dodge truck attempting to detach a trailer both stolen out of Vermilion.
When an attempt was made to stop the vehicle, it fled. RCMP located the vehicle again inside Saskatchewan.
When police attempted to stop the vehicle it became stuck in the ditch and the three suspects fled on foot. RCMP with the help of a Police Dog were able to locate and arrest all three suspects.
RCMP have charged Baily Devon Paranteau with:
- Break & Entering;
- Mischief Over $5000 (x3);
- Possession of property Obtained by Crime Over $5000;
- Theft of Truck;
- Theft Over $5000;
- Flight from Peace Officer;
- Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle.
RCMP have charged Allea Geraldine Lameman with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.
A female youth has been charged with eight offences.
All three suspects were taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with their next court date set for Monday, April 14 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster.
